2. Sunrise is more spectacular over a snowy mountain
3. No matter how beautiful sunrise or sunset is, the best parts of the day are the 30 minutes before sunrise and the 30 minutes after sunset, when the sky is a slate blue, and the mountains are bright white against it. This is also the best part of doing early morning pick-ups for ski lessons, watching the sky brighten as the sun comes up (then being blinded by it as you drive down Egan!)
4. Some of the best views in town are in the Costco parking lot (^) and the dump.
5. No matter how much earlier or later it makes my day start/end, pickups and drop offs are the best part of any ORCA activity. It's where you get the best parts of consumer's personalities, and get to just hang out. It's also a great opportunity to brush up on your boy band singing skills.
6. A full moon may be incredible, and huge, and bright, but the smaller the moon it seems the more it adds to the images and scenery around it. A full moon is too bright and distracting, while a sliver can be enjoyed with other parts.
7. If you have a tendency to get lost on mountaintops, sometimes its ok to test out your safety-sleeping bag, just to see if it works.
